Limbo's house edge is baked directly into the relationship between your target multiplier and your win chance. Rollbit publishes this formula openly: win chance ≈ 99 ÷ target multiplier — meaning a "fair" (0% edge) game would use 100 instead of 99, and that 1-point gap is the house's statistical cut on every round regardless of target. Stake.com and BC.Game both run at 99% RTP (matching Rollbit's implied edge almost exactly), 500Casino discloses a slightly higher 2% edge, and Gamdom offers an optional 100% RTP mode. A higher target multiplier doesn't change this ratio — it just concentrates the same edge into a rarer, bigger-paying outcome.
CS2 Limbo strips the provably fair multiplier format down to its simplest form: one number you choose, one instant result. There's no live climb to watch and no mid-round decision — everything resolves the moment you place your bet.

Win chance ≈ (platform RTP factor) ÷ (your target multiplier). Rollbit's published version uses 99 ÷ target: a 2x target wins about 49.5% of rounds, a 10x target about 9.9%, and a 100x target about 0.99%. The payout multiplier is calibrated to match this probability, minus the house's small edge.
Most CS2/crypto Limbo sites run roughly a 1-2% house edge, baked into the target-multiplier-to-win-chance ratio rather than charged as a visible fee. Stake.com and BC.Game publish 99% RTP; 500Casino discloses 2%; Gamdom offers an optional 100% RTP mode. This is broadly the same edge range as Dice and Mines on the same platforms.
Before you place your bet, the platform commits to a server seed via a published hash, combined with your client seed, locking in that round's result multiplier before you confirm your target. Target multiplier doesn't change your long-run house edge, but it changes how fast variance can move your session balance — exactly the same principle as mine count on Mines or difficulty on Towers.
Low targets (1.5x-2x), small flat bet size relative to balance. Frequent wins keep the session running longer without needing a rare high-multiplier outcome to stay afloat.
Mid-range targets (5x-10x) with a pre-set number of rounds via auto-bet. Balances hit frequency against payout size for a session that neither drains nor stalls too fast.
High targets (100x+) only make sense with a bankroll sized to absorb many consecutive losing rounds without pressure to chase. Each round is fully independent of the last.
