HiLo's house edge doesn't sit in one place the way it does on Dice — it's recalculated for every single card, since the true odds of "higher" vs "lower" change with each card removed from the deck. A fair payout multiplier would exactly match the true probability for that specific card; the house edge is the small gap sites build in below that fair number, typically shaving 1-4% off depending on the platform. CS2 HiLo runs on a standard deck of cards rather than a grid or roll. Every prediction is a fresh comparison against whatever card is currently showing, which is what makes its odds genuinely different from the flat-risk-dial games covered elsewhere on this site.

In every case, the payout multiplier is calibrated to the actual odds shown — a near-certain bet pays little, a rare bet pays a lot, and the house edge sits as a small consistent shave underneath the fair number regardless of which card is showing.
